When Taylor told us we would have the chance to hand select wood sets at the NAMM show in January we were excited to see what custom guitars we could put together! This Grand Auditorium model features an excellent Sitka Spruce top, Adirondack braces and a stunning set of Cocobolo sides and back. Cocobolo is a dense, stiff tropical hardwood which is similar in tone to Koa but resonates a bit deeper on the low end. This is a fast and responsive guitar that would suit players who like rosewood but prefer more treble presence in their sound!
