Bourgeois Advanced Slope D

The Advanced Slope D is a dressed up version of the popular Slope D model from the workshop of Dana Bourgeois. This slope shouldered dreadnought is only a 1/4" wider than a traditional dreadnought but provides a powerful and complex tone. It is voiced to be more open and less driving that the Country Boy and works very well for a wide variety of musical styles. This is really fun guitar to play whether you are strumming big open chords, finger picking, flat picking or my favourite hybrid picking the notes practically jump out of the soundhole and come to life!

When you have a guitar that sounds this good, it better look the part and this one certainly stands out in the crowd! Using their best Indian rosewood and Adirondack red spruce this guitar also has a cool snake headstock, floral fretboard inlay and beautiful Bourgeois custom sunburst.

In Dana's words: "We treat our sunbursts like just another piece of wood--no two are exactly the same, and that's the way we like it. Sometimes we are influenced by the colors and textures of the top or back; sometimes we want to de-emphasize a distracting feature in an otherwise outrageous top; sometimes we're after a vintage vibe. Sometimes we're just going for a cool burst!"
