The Gibson ES-175 was introduced in 1949 as a single pickup (P-90) version of the L-4 archtop. In 1953, the ES-175D was launched with 'dual' pickups. In 1957, the P-90s gave way to humbuckers and the ES-175 has been basically built this way since.
Built in 2011, this Gibson ES-174 sunburswt is in excellent condition, and is all original with the exception of the location of the upper strap pin, which was moved off the heel onto the body. The original Classic 57 pickups are in place, with the original electronics. The original case is included.
