Today we are featuring a beautiful Custom Grand Concert from Taylor’s build to order program. This sweet little finger style guitar features a stunning set of Cocobolo on the sides and back and a Sitka spruce top. This guitar also features a wider 1 7/8″ nut width and a cutaway. The wider nut width is excellent of finger style playing where you can really benefit from greater spacing between the strings.

Cocobolo is a dense and stiff tropical hardwood and this particular set has some lovely rich lava like hues which are a perfect contrast for the light sap wood running along the center of the back. Tonally Cocobolo offers a wide frequency range with a bit more midrange and treble zing than rosewood. It is fast and responsive with a moderate note decay and lots of note distinction. Combine that with the dynamics, warmth and clarity of Sitka spruce and you have a gorgeous tonal pallet to work with!

The smaller body shape of the Grand Concert is designed for clarity and balance making it an ideal fingerstyle guitar and an incredible comfortable playing experience!
