Neck	Maple neck, walnut center strip, with bound rosewood fingerboard, black headplate and gold Hofner logo decal. Mother of pearl dot markers.
Frets	Zero fret for consistent action, 22 frets in total.
Body	Arched Spruce top, laminate curly maple back and sides. Bound and purfled top and back, single cutaway.
Finish	Gloss translucent red finish.
Hardware/electronics	Faux pearlized pickguard and control plate, original style ebony bridge with fretwire saddles; two Hofner single coil pickups with chrome covers, chrome tailpiece. Wilkinson tuners.
Playability/Action	These play great and the shorter scale and light weight makes them very comfortable.
Case	Gig bag included.
Comments	We’ve just received a few new pieces from Hofner, including this Club Bass from the Contemporary series. We make two slight modifications – we restring them with LaBella flats for a more authentic ‘Beatley’ sound, and replace the stock knobs with the much classier ‘teacup’ style.
