When Gibson introduced the Flying V in 1958, it was without a doubt ahead of its time. In 1967, Gibson reintroduced the Flying V to the world with much greater success. Players fell in love with its striking angular design, as well as its light-weight, streamlined profile, and comfortable balance. The narrow upper body allowed access to the upper frets like no other guitar. Ever since then, the Flying V has become an iconic staple of the electric guitar in rock and roll music.
