The Twelfth Fret ~ Since 1977 ~

(Discontinued) Taylor 12 Fret

Instrument Categories: , ,

This model is out of stock and discontinued.  This post is maintained for archival purposes.

It started with a 35th Anniversary model and Bob Taylor liked the design so much that the 12 Fret Grand Concert model was put into regular production. This wonderfully comfortable guitar features a Sitka spruce top, Indian Rosewood sides and back, a 12 fret neck to body design with a slotted head stock, Venetian cutaway and Taylor ES pickup system.

The reorientation of the neck, body and bridge makes for a dramatically different sounding Grand Concert. The bridge being shifted farther back on the lower bout provides a blend between modern and vintage tonal flavors. The midrange on this guitar is rich and warm and the treble frequencies have a distinctive snap and brilliance. The shorter scale and Venetian cutaway on this guitar make it a joy to play and the warm wonderfully aged tone makes it easy to see why this is Bob’s new favourite!!
