Comments	Here’s a 1962 Gibson J45 Sunburst in good playing condition – and with that great vintage J-45 sound. The Gibson J-45 was introduced in 1942, and has been in production ever since. It’s arguably been Gibson’s most successful guitar, and when you play one, it’s clear why. The tone is full and rich, with sparkling but not brittle high end and a warm, round midrange and bottom. This example of the Gibson J45 Sunburst has certainly been used over the years, and has had some repairs to splits in the top, mostly next to the pickguard. However, it sounds great.
Serial Number	56385, built during 1962 at the Gibson facility in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Pricing	$3,500.00 Canadian with fibre case.
Neck	Mahogany neck with unbound rosewood fingerboard, mother of pearl dot position markers. 24.75 inch scale length. Black finished headplate with gold screened gibson logo.
Frets
Body	Classic slope-shouldered dreadnought body; spruce top and mahogany back and sides. Rosewood adjustable bridge with ceramic saddle. The top has a couple of repaired cracks, one next to the pickguard below the high E string.
Finish	Original gloss nitrocellulose lacquer sunburst finish with lots of checking, and a cigarette burn next to the low E tuner.
Hardware/electronics	Original strip Kluson Deluxe tuners with creme plastic buttons, original ceramic-saddle adjustable bridge, newer plastic bridge pins.
Playability/Action	Plays well and cleanly at a relatively low action. There’s lots of room to move the saddle around.
Case	Fibre (Cardboard) case included.
