The Falcon is at the top of of the Gretsch line, perhaps neck and neck with the Country Club. The Black Falcon is a somewhat rarer bird; most examples are white.

Comments | This is my new favourite guitar. The Falcon is a classic, instantly recognisable instrument, and in black it’s perhaps a bit more eye-catching. It has all the great Gretsch tone and is a joy to play. The tone (or ‘mud’ switch) is a versatile and quite usable tool and the two switches add a visual balance to the individual volume controls. This guitar does come with the US-made Bigsby, so the Chet Atkins bracket and arm (not included) can be added in moments. |
